If the Colts and Steelers both end up 11-5...

Featured Replies

which team is the #3 seed and which team is the #4 seed?

Steelers because of their head to head victory meaning the Steelers would get San Diego at home (assuming the Chargers win) and the Bengals would go to Indy?

Anyone?

If I read correctly, barring a freakin' tie, the winner is the 3 seed and the loser is the 5. The only other scenario is the possibility of a Denver loss and Cincy win and then they'd be the 2 with a bye.

Thanks Doc.

I hadn't seen that scenario but wanted to be sure.

Who gets the higher seed if both the Steelers and Chargers (or anyone and the Steelers) both end up 10-6?

Meaning if the Steelers lose they probably go to Indy and the Bengals get the Chargers or whoever?

So if the Colts & Steelers win, the Bengals head to Indy?

I'd be okay with that...

There is no chance of a Bengals/Steelers first round match up. Steelers have tiebreakers over the Chargers if they lose, and they have a tiebreaker over the Colts if they win. So as someone mentioned the winner of the Bengals/Steelers game will be the 3 seed and the loser being the 5 seed. Bengals could get 2 seed if they win and Broncos lose.

So if the Colts & Steelers win, the Bengals head to Indy?

What the Colts do next week does not matter, they will be the 4 seed no matter what. So the loser of the Bengals/Steelers will go to Indy.

That's what I read. The Bengals will have one less loss and be the 3, host the 6.

I am glad we won't play the Steelers in round one no matter what.

I know this is a huge pipe dream but I would love to see the Bengals host the Steelers for the AFC Championship game. :jump:

As a guy that is looking to sell playoff tickets, ME TOO.

Thanks for the clarification.
