Final from the Woodford County Invitational Tournament.

Matt Rose is named MVP.

Another top team from the 12th Region loses tonight.

Not that it matters but I heard score was 72-59

No clue. Here is my info:

@LCAathletics: Eagles win the WIC Championship beating previously unbeaten #20 Lincoln Co. 72-58! @LCACoachV #WarEagle #CHAMPS @LCAStudentSect1

Either way...the score I saw was on Facebook

LCA's size bothered Lincoln County the entire game. Coach Valentine has been the right fit for LCA. Great ball coach. I would watch out 11th region...the Eagles are for real.

My question is how did Paris High School beat them so convincingly??

Taylor and Conway were solid for Lincoln as usual, but the difference in the game was that Lincoln had no answer for Matt Rose inside. Rose had 8 points at the half playing mostly on the perimeter. After halftime, LCA put him inside and he had 26 points in the second half (34 for the game). LCA also shot the 3-ball well, especially Nighbert who was on fire. With their size inside, LCA will be a tough out for most teams if they are shooting the 3-ball well.

Same thing that beat Lincoln in the region last year. Southwestern had skilled big men and Lincoln had no answer. LCA has the same thing. Lincoln is very good and very fun to watch, but their lack of a post presence will again be their undoing.

So is LCA favored to win the Region this year? They seem to be playing very well and didnt they knock off Scott Co? I know Scott Co is slightly down but they seem to be playing very well.
