Does Knott County Central Have....

Featured Replies

What it takes to bring the state tournament trophy back to Hindman?

The Patriots stand at 8-0 and have throttled every one in their path including defending state champs, Covington Catholic. Knott County Central is averaging 78 points per game and allowing 45 points a game.

Knott Central will head to Myrtle Beach next weekend where they will play North Little Rock Arkansas in the opening round of the Beach Ball Classic.

I don't think Knott will have a problem winning the 14th region tournament again.

So, what do you think? Do the Patriots have what it takes to win the state tournament?

P.s. I really would have loved to see Knott play (regular season, not scrimmages) Scott County, Ballard and Trinity this season...

I think they are quite capeable.. Trinity will be the biggest challenge. Anything can happen on any given night but realisticly i would think it Trinity #1 and KCC #2 and the gap is more narrow than most think. Ive not seen Trinity this season only going by what i read on BGP. That is just my opnion.

Impressive win over Covcath but we will get an even better feel for KCC when they meet Newcath in the All A.

Regardless, I think KCC is #2 or #3 in the state. I do think teams like Ballard and even Doss would present some problems for them because of their depth and athleticism.

For some reason I thought KCC wasn't in the All A anymore?

There not listed on the All A web page as a partipant this season, as well as the All A is not listed on their schedule the WYMT tournament is listed on there during the time frame of the All A. :idunno:

Whats their enrollment? I see where they won the All A region in 2013. Maybe they are to big to participate?

You're right..I think last year was their last year of being eligible for the All A.

Will likely come down to Newcath-Bardstown or LCA.

Not in All A enrollment Is 618

That's what I thought. The All A should be called the NewCath Invitational anyway:lol2:, it should be their's to lose. It seems like the All A always has boiled down to University Heights, Bishop Brossart, Bardstown or NewCath:idunno:

They have a chance. It takes a good draw and a lot of luck.
