I don't want to say it was a good thing he was ejected, but it made UL overcome a huge obstacle in a tough environment. That builds character.

The one positive, Louisville was forced to play without him. That could prove to be invaluable later in the season.

Why does a team have nothing to gain when playing a game like UL did with WKU? I think UL gained a tremendous amount today.

Agreed... The worst that can happen is UL loses a game. If that loss contributes to them being a better team in March, it's well worth it.

While I agree that any loss before conference play is meaningless, worse things could happen. Meaning losing a key player to injury.

It looked to me like the ref was trying to attack Harrell, which in turn resulted into him running into Harrell's elbow, all while Harrell had a muscle spasm and almost punched a WKU player.

Clearly, the referee should be suspended without pay. Harrell should not be suspended. Harrell should also file a lawsuit for defemation of character and lost playing time against the NCAA.

I don't see what UL gained today. They beat a .500 Conference USA team.

UL is in the ACC & will get much better road tests in conference play. I just don't see the need to go to Western.

Louisville has been doing WKU a favor playing this series, it's that simple. You and I agree.

Looked like a good hard fought game to me. Those type of games help you whether its against WKU or a top 10 team. If nothing else its a learning experience.

If they do drop WKU, I would hope they would do so to pick up a strong opponent, not to pick up another easy win.

It's great for fans and I love seeing games like this, but if I'm the schedule-maker for UL, there's no way I play it.

I say that as someone who loves in-state teams, including WKU.

There's been talk for a while now about restarting the UC or Memphis series.

LOL. I'm not going anywhere.

It was a good game & hard fought, but I just look at UL's road schedule in the ACC:

North Carolina

Pittsburgh

Miami

Virginia

Syracuse

Georgia Tech

In addition to that, you've got home games like UK, Duke, North Carolina, Virginia, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Miami.

I just think they'll have enough tests in conference to schedule a road game like this.

Home & home?

Home & home?

Don't know. I hope so. I despise the trend toward neutral site games.

I know you hate them & I understand why. But I can also understand why coaches want neutral site games.
