mcpapa
The Lady Ludlow girls' thread got me wondering. I know there's something called the NKAC and that it has three divisions. There's an EKC; Mason County used to be in it for some sports, but I don't think so any more. Any others?

Casual Fan
The Lady Ludlow girls' thread got me wondering. I know there's something called the NKAC and that it has three divisions. There's an EKC; Mason County used to be in it for some sports, but I don't think so any more. Any others? From the Sayre school website: “Sayre High School is a member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) and as such competes on the District, Regional and State level in X-Country, Golf, Soccer, Basketball, Swimming, Diving, Tennis, Track and Baseball. In addition, Soccer, Basketball and Golf compete in the “All A” which is a mid-season statewide tournament of smaller “A” sized schools. Many of our teams also compete in the Bluegrass Conference which is made up of regional schools of similar size. Basketball, volleyball, baseball, track, x-country and swimming all compete in the Bluegrass Conference. Lacrosse is not yet a sanctioned KHSAA sport. Our US Boys Lacrosse program competes in the statewide Kentucky Lacrosse Association High School League and statewide post season tournament.” On a quick search I couldn’t find a membership list for the Bluegrass Conference, but have found one in the past. A quick look at Sayre’s schedule over a couple of years will give some hints as to who else might be involved – maybe Berea, Model, Morgan Co., Burgin, etc. I know they have to travel a pretty big area to find enough small schools. Sandman
Not sure of the name, and I'm not even sure I'm right, but I think some of the 8th region schools are in a conference together. Seems like Owen, Gallatin and some others make up the conference.
LionEagle
The schools that are in the EKC fluctuate when it comes to different sports. I know Lewis County, Fleming County, Bath County, East and West Carters, and I believe Raceland are members for each sport (football, boys and girls golf, girls and boys basketball; not sure if they do it for baseball and softball). Rowan and Russell participate in basketball but not football. Fairview may still be in the conference as well. Morgan County may also.
