December 13, 201411 yr I think Pop is a great coach. But he is so full of himself it really irritates me sometimes. The way he treated the sideline reporter after the 3rd quarter was disgraceful. Pop said the Spurs were playing awful. The sideline guy asked him what he would do in the 4th quarter to change that - fair question. Pop just looked at him and said "give me a break" and walked away. Totally uncalled for. He knows the guy is just doing his job and the guy did not ask him anything insulting at all. He almost seems like he is trying to top himself by being more defiant as he gets older. I love him as a coach - his teams play hard and he demands unselfishness, etc. I just think he sometimes treats people like garbage for no reason. I think you are right though...the reporters just expect it...

December 14, 201411 yr That was actually a really fun game to watch. Normally Pop is a turd in those interviews but he does it in a joking way but that night he went a little over the line IMO. I get that they are stupid and no one likes them but that was a bit much.

Cal is selling a brand at all times when the mic is on. It's always different in college. When it comes to the pros all of the in game questions are dumb. Reporter: Coach, you're down 4 headed into the 4th quarter and your team closed the gap by finishing the quarter on a 10-0 run. What do you plan to do to take the lead.?
