While Cooper is 6a they are not in SK's district so no requirement to play them. It's a mute point thought they are already on the schedule.

 

I know the entire time Dixie was in 6A, they played every other 6A team in NKY. I just figured it was a given.

You sure about the bolded above? I know Dixie hasn't played Scott for a few years now.

 

Scott stopped playing (or was dropped by, I'm not sure) Dixie and SK when the last district realignment occurred. Scott had been 4a and was in District with Highlands, Cov Cath and Holmes. It was not fun watching Scott games during that run, and for those of you who believe playing a tough schedule is a guaranteed way to build a successful team, I give you exhibit A as to why this isn't necessarily true.

And the only thing EVERYONE remembers about SK after you building them up to be the best year in and year out is them always exiting the playoffs early

 

Careful, with Cooper moving up to 6A, don't be expecting to get a whiff of regional titles, much less state championship games. And, oh by the way, now that Cooper is playing with the big boys, what does the Jag schedule look like?

I don't promote Cooper as the next best thing since sliced bread and claim every year they are the best team period. I just enjoy the ride and when they do good it's just icing on the cake.

You see I don't have to build in reachable hype about my team like someone else. If my team wins that is great, if they don't then it's not the end of the world.

i havent seen seen the schedule but I'm sure it won't be much different as when they were in the smaller class they played majority of their out of district games against "the big boys" playing the majority of their out of district games against every 6A team in NKY every year.

I do know they open against Highlands this year.

im sure it's the same reason you don't cheer for Conner or Highlands or Dixie or CCH or Ryle or any other school in NKY that threatens you. You know, Any school that does better in the playoffs than SK.

Shoot, I will even settle for any post before or during the season saying they would win their district. I predicted So Oldham would win and we'd be battling Conner and Scott for 2nd in district, never predicted we'd share it with S Oldham as we ended up much less win another regional title.

The only Cooper player I said was amp g the best and arguably the best in the area this year was Armstrong who led the area in rushing with over 1700 yds. Now to crush your post, I said during the season several times and before the season that Winkler I thought was the best WR in the area and Olmstead one of the if not the best O-Lineman in the area and guess what? BOTH PLAYED FOR SK LOL. I also said after Hoge this year and Fieget that Racke (another SK player) was the best QB I seen and also said he could end up better than Kuntz. Now CB's lol I don't remember touring any CB's from any team this year.

Glad we can be the game you most look forward to playing. For me, it's Cooper playing a team that is a perennial winner in Highlands.

All this talk about SK growing up and scheduling better and they open up with a 2A team. No above average 6A school should play a 2A school, period!
