Interested to hear the take on this game. Home and season opener for the Birds against the Cru. I know that St. Henry has Kunstek, Goetz and Wallenhorst as their big 3 I believe. Who else should we look out for in this game. Not sure what we will see from the Birds, but you can bet they will play hard for 24 minutes. I think this group epitomizes what the coach wants out of his players and it will be interesting to see how they come along as the year progresses.

Even if offense is "rusty" due to the first game and maybe some players not available HHS can still win with effort and D. You MUST make life really hard on the PG Goetz. You can't let him shoot and you can't let him feed the post. If you do that then you're already off to a good start.

 

From the easier-said-than-done files you can't let Kunstek get position where he wants. When he gets the ball in he post I'd run someone at him immediately other than the person guarding Goetz. I'll take my chances with the other 3.

Hebel will have to transition from a 4 point stance to a 2 point stance.

 

With Cain, New, Weyer, and Hebel on offense HHS should be able to pass the ball. With Dougherty and Greene on defense HHS should stop the run.... oh, wrong sport.

 

No doubt HHS will have to get into BB shape and coalesce as a team. I'm certain they will play hard but might be quite a few fouls and errant passes to begin with. Could be a game with the possibility of capturing a few bloopers on video!

Yep. The better bandwidth we have, the better quality we get from the provider. We should be as good as it gets tonight We'll have 5 bars of 4G. Same at the BOKC later this year when we're wired.

Are the football players playing in this game?

 

I would think so since Coach L had a lot of them meeting on Sundays during football to do shooting and ball handling stuff.

 

If they dont then the Birds will be limited to 3 Varsity players and minimal JV kids. They have to play IMO.
