His 3 years of big plays has been fun to watch.

The first thing I noticed when watching him was how smooth he is when running, looks effortless. In a sense, the same smoothness running that Shaun Alexander had, doesn't look like they are running "hard" but they out run everyone.

Very nice! Have seen him twice in person this year and came away very impressed. He can fly. Looks more like a receiver. If he has good hands, teams should be all over him!

Could play at several D1 programs as a walk on as a receiver (UC, Purdue, Western among others) but the kid wants to play quarterback in college....biggest reason for no offers. Someone is going to get a steal with him.

Yea, if he is firm on playing QB in college, it won't be at a big DI school. Maybe a mid level but I wouldn't hold my breath. He is best suited as a WR if he has the hands.

In the right system, I think he could be a successful D1 quarterback.

 

There are a lot of D1-AA or small D1 schools like Eastern KY that I think he could excel at. I think people get too caught up on him being an athlete and forget that he can actually throw the ball pretty well but Dixie's run game is so good, he doesn't need to. Coach Brossart wants to control the game and use the strength of the line to win games. Seems to be working pretty well.

Hear this all the time from Dixie supporters...if you are a good passer, then why wouldn't you do it? Especially if he wanted to play that in college. Maybe not with the game on the line, but in the first blowout of SK, they only threw 7 times. I'm just not sure why any team (regardless of how good the run is) wouldn't want to balance their attack in preparation for other teams they may face. One of the reasons I was given by a Dixie fan that they lost so bad to Cov Cath was because they got down early and abandoned the run and went to the pass. I get that's why they may have lost so bad, but if they were a good passing team, they wouldn't have lost so bad.

 

And I think we all knew there was a really good possibility that the NKY 6A team could make it to the finals pretty easy, based on the brackets. Do we feel Dixie will be able to run the ball that well against the winner of the other side? I don't think we have any games or evidence they will be able to rely only on the run against those teams. Maybe they can, but they have not played anyone near that level of competition all year. I hope they can, but I wish they would have developed more of a passing game by now...especially if he can throw with accuracy like everyone is saying. I have't seen the accuracy yet, but I've only seen two games.

 

My opinion, if the kid has good hands (which I imagine he does), he could write his ticket as a receiver. He is that big of a weapon at receiver in my opinion. I understand his passion for QB, but I think he has a shot as a receiver. He has a gift...height, speed and quickness.

I hate to be the negative ninny but you're way underestimating the level of QB play required to play at schools like EKU.
