Does David Allan Coe's You never call me by my name count?

Lots of people have recorded "500 Miles". Here is a very good cover by Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, Stark Sands

One that a lot of folks may not realize is about a train:

"The Midnight Special" refers to prison lore, which states that if a train passes the prison you are incarcerated in at midnight, and if the headlight of the train should happen to shine into your cell window as it passes, then you're bound to be one of the next to get out of jail. That's why they choose it as the song being played by actor (and Kentucky native) Harry Dean Stanton at the beginning of the "Boss Kean's ditch" scene in prison movie Cool Hand Luke - my favorite movie.

and of course, Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. A personal favorite!

Took a minute to find this one on YouTube. As a faithful Bob Dylan semi-fanatic, I can't leave this one out:

Bob Dylan - It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry

One more and I'll stop. Chris Smither isn't terribly well known, but he's pretty awesome to tap your toe to. He and Taj Mahal could be brothers from another mother.

Chris Smither - Train Home

Another gooder...

Todd Snider - Play A Train Song

My favorite Snider tune.
