TAC Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Way to go Jake! Always said he had a lot of upside from his days at St. Joes!
Qryche11 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Great to hear...I have watched him since 5th grade and he was always an advanced player who I knew would get big. As a Freshman he was up at the Ft. Thomas Armory one night playing against 6'6 Jack Stewart who was a Sr at Highlands at the time and it was a battle of bigs. Several meetings at the Summit. LOL
NKY Bandit Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Big Jake was always one of my favorites. Glad to hear he's doing well at the next level!
Clyde Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Jake is off to a really nice start to his D1 career. He is getting more PT than I thought he would as a frosh. Started the game against Memphis. Looks to be getting double digit minutes every night. That's great. Easy kid to root for.
Clyde Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I checked the stats for Mr Schulte today. He's played in every game. Started 8. Getting 17 minutes per game. Having a really nice year and one that I think surprised a lot of 9th region folks. I'm thrilled for him. Nice young man.

The bolded is probably true, but only because he was the most unsung, underrated, and frankly underutilized player in the region last year.
Omega Man Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 The bolded is probably true, but only because he was the most unsung, underrated, and frankly underutilized player in the region last year. Wow, you sound a little bitter?? Love the kids game.
Clyde Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Wow' date=' you sound a little bitter?? Love the kids game.[/quote'] How did you get bitter out of that statement?
Omega Man Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 How did you get bitter out of that statement? The "underrated, underutilized" part indicated to me that Sandman did not feel Coach Dawn played him to his potential. The "unsung" would indicate that he was not given enough praise by the coach or local press.
Lawnboy13 Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 From what I'm hearing, Jake and the entire Upstate team and coaches are going to be on hand tonight for the NewCath/Newport 36th District finals at Newport. USC-U play NKU tomorrow.
