DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 The usual Seminole start - three and out.
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Two Seminole three and outs sandwiched around a Miami turnover.
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Yep, feels just like every crappy first half so far. Miami drives the field and goes up early 7-0.
ggclfan Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Someone get PP92 a drink...this may be a long night...
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Man, this is an abysmal start even by their standards. Three straight three and outs. Can't do that to the D.
Jumper_Dad Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 What's the half-time line on this game? #JameisMr2ndHalf
ggclfan Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Someone get PP92 a drink...this may be a long night... Better make it a double...13-0...
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Another strong drive by the Canes capped by a nice bounce outside for a run on 3rd and goal from the 1, and it's 13-0 Miami.
hrcarrier Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Honestly wasn't aware that Miami has improved this much.
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Honestly wasn't aware that Miami has improved this much. Honestly, as much as I love FSU, they play like crap in the first half and have been basically daring mediocre to average teams to beat them all year long. It's been a matter of time that it would get them and this could be it. That's not to say Miami hasn't improved as the year has gone on - they have.
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 The Seminoles have now faced the following first half deficits (and this one obviously could be added to): Miami - 16-0 (2nd Quarter) Virginia - 13-7 (2nd Quarter) Louisville - 21-0 (Late 2nd Quarter) Notre Dame - 17-10 (Halftime) Wake Forest - 3-0 (2nd Quarter) NC State - 24-7 (2nd Quarter) Clemson - 10-3 (Halftime) After the first two games of the year, Syracuse is the only game in which FSU did not trail at some point into the second quarter.
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 FSU is averaging 5.8 points in the first quarter this year. Take away the opening two games, and it's 4.25 points. This is the third time in the last six games they've been shutout in the first quarter. And this one was even worse given that they have NO FIRST DOWNS. 16-0 after the FG, but at least FSU kept them from scoring another TD.
ggclfan Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 16-0 now. FSU has them where they want them I guess.
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Seriously, I'm fighting the urge to freak the hell out but in a sea of bad first half this year, this is easily the worst. This is terrible.
