EKU comes into this one off of a hard fought 20-6 loss to #3 Jacksonville State. Eastern trailed only 10-6 into the 4th quarter before the Gamecocks scored a late touchdown to put it out of reach. The Colonels are 8-2 and need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Murray comes in at 3-7 with only one win over an FCS team. MSU has put up some points this season but has trouble stopping anyone on defense. Can they come into Roy Kidd Stadium and pull the upset?

If the EKU defense plays like they did last week, no doubt EKU wins. I don't think MSU plays enough defense to challenge the Colonels on that side of the ball. Really impressed with Easterns defense and I've been critical of them in the recent past.

They had a couple of guys back from injury in the secondary last week. That helped a bunch. Getting Johnny Joseph back at corner was a big boost. I think this one plays out like the game a couple of years ago. Murray scores with EKU for about a quarter then falls behind a couple of scores and has to get out of what they like to do on offense. The Colonels get a couple of turnovers and put it away in the 2nd half 48-24.

Murray State lost at APSU. That was APSU's first victory in a couple seasons. That is all you need to know about the Racers.

OVC has been weird this year. Hope that loss at TN Tech doesn't come back to bite the Colonels and keep them out of the playoffs.

I have not watched football on OVC network, but the basketball coverage is usually in HD and pretty solid.

I have seen Murray twice and EKU once. Murray's defense is just two inexperienced to put up much of a fight. The OVC will be decided this weekend as Eastern Illinois travels to Jacksonville State. If EIU and EKU win, then you will need tiebreakers to determine a conference champion. I believe JS is the class of this conference this year though.

JSU is undefeated in the conference and a win would put EKU 2nd and EIU 3rd. However, an EIU win pushes EKU down to 3rd and gives the title to EIU with JSU 2nd. I have that right AJG?

EKU beat EIU. If EIU wins, then all are 7-1 in conference with each team having lost to one of the others. I believe JSU wins comfortably though.
