Beechwood happened, they are very good and we played poorly on top of that, and had a few guys out during that game, but Beechwood killed the Flyers. This game will be tough Cooper is not one bit worried about FCHS they beat our best team in years a few years back. I am looking for a good game. Flyers can not turn the ball over and win.

I think it's very fair to say both teams have a lot of respect for eachother and will play their best. No one will be taking the other lightly.

Agreed. I think the advantage goes to Franklin County for getting demolished by Beechwod, kind of gets them ready for a game like this.

 

Another loss was to East Jessamine, which in my opinion should have never happened, but we all let one slip sometimes.

I'll take Cooper in a close one. I have rooted for them since my Purples played them in the finals in 2012. With a great bunch of kids and fans like Hellbird, who always pulls for my Purples, how can it not be a 1st class program.

The field is terrible! Any rain and it will be a mud pit again!

Do they just not take care of it? Cooper's isn't the greatest but it looks like they have tractor pulls between the hashes.

Franklin County field has looked bad since week 1. Not sure whats going on with the field. I know the team deserves a lot better than what they are playing on.

The problem with a lot of grass fields that are used for multiple

sports is after the first game played on a wet field then ruts ate formed and they never get fixed throughout the year. Once the field is bad it stays bad the rest of the season.

 

The only grass field I can ever remember being one of the best around was Beechwoods when it was grass. They took immaculate care of that field and the only sport played on it was football.

The field has out lived its usefullness, the board gives nothing to take care of it they dont mow, paint, fertilize or nothing, boosters do all the money towards anything it needs. Its so old and compacted that you just can not get it to last at all. As for taking care of it they work hard trying to keep it going, and have spent even more time since its demise in week 2-3 to keep it rolled, and holes filled, and painted up nice.
