For all that are planning to attend: The game is a 7pm start (not 730) at Dixie per the Colonels' AD.

With the way the last contest went, along with how well both teams are playing, I cannot see this game being a blow-out. I see this being a one score game either way.

For the Ryle fans...do you feel playing a pretty challenging schedule at the beginning of the season has helped you improve throughout the season and prepare you for a game like Friday? The reason I ask, is because every time we talk about playing a challenging schedule the first thing all the naysayers say is "It doesn't help...look at Ryle!" In my opinion it definitely helped this year. I don't think anyone at the beginning of the season was saying if these two teams were to meet in the playoffs that Ryle could actually win it. Ryle is a nice story this year...IMO.

Hmm at the beginning of the season they got beat by Cooper?

Yes. Cooper is a solid team when healthy and they also played Scott Co. Now they are showing great improvement later in the season. That is the reason for the question.

We struggled with the difficult schedule early. As soon as we started district play we were competitive beyond peoples expectations. So I would say yes it helps. Doesn't fluff up your records or stats. But you learn more about yourselves and your team during adversity.

i'm hoping both teams are 100% healthy so there's no excuses whoever wins this game...game changed to 7 pm instead of 7:30

I'm with you. I can't wait until next year. He is so much fun to watch.

I just hope Ryle didn't hurt him more by rushing him back and that includes their 1st game. Groin injuries without surgery is done just need time to heal and I don't know if they let it properly heal and that is why at this time in the season he is still bothered by it. MLB players with the same injury have missed entire seasons getting it healthy and we all know football is more stressful on groin injuries than baseball.

I I love the kid and hope nothing but the best for him, I just hope they give him time to heal.

I highly doubt anyone rushed him back, anyone thinking this hasn't met our training staff. There's a lot of injured players playing every week, nagging injuries are a part of the game. If England can go he will, if not Batemen and Woolf will handle the job. Somehow this thread has turned into a one man team. Yes Ryle is definately better than their record and got here with a team effort led by the Defense. Offense was slow starting the season but has slowly gotten better. Hopefully the turnovers won't be present this week and we make it a great game with or without a healthy #7.

He's an asset but not a one man team. Last week definately showed how others can step up! I loved that the D was on fire. Need that this Friday.

That one hurt

Why did that hurt? Cooper was healthy at the beginning of the season and beat Ryle fair and square, was no fluke, you saw their defense, they are very good when healthy. They held Ryle to 3 points and beat them by 2 scores. Also as others have said Ryle apparently isn't a 1 man team so even though England played in that game they also had the rest of their team healthy too. Also keep in mind when they played SK they had 4 of their top 5 defensemen out of the game hurt from the previous week and they also were on their 3rd string QB by half way thru the 2nd qtr due to Prickett and Hendrix being hurt and out of the game (Hendrix at the time was the #2 QB) so don't let uk#1fan make you feel bad about losing to a solid and healthy Cooper team.

No Coopers good HB. with us and Cooper it's like the civil war. Brother against brother. Nobody wants to lose to the neighbor. We want that one for bragging rights and to start our season off right. Next year it counts. This one just hurt and that's all. Made us reevaluate where we were.

I think UKfan just had no clue about that game is all.

Cooper is always a win on my teams schedule. :D

It hurt because Cooper is terrible just like our offense was to start the season, I may be wrong but I think they lost convincingly to every quality opponent they played. You never want to start your season with a hometown loss especially against a team like Coopers this season. JMO
