Bing Crosby had a Christmas special every year. It was a tradition in our family to watch it every year, it marked the beginning of Christmas for us. This was his very last as he would die a few months after the taping of the special. David Bowie I thought was such an odd guest but I remember when I was watching it when it was originally aired that that song was the best Christmas song I ever heard and after all these years it's still my favorite.
