LexCath has one glaring weakness on defense and that makes the worst ever seen? Thats a fairly broad brush.

 

LexCath can score on anyone, especially now that the receiving corp has had the season to figure things out. Jones is a monster at RB and Ryan is clicking. They can and have snuffed out the run game of any team. But passing teams will have the advantage due to height size of the DBs. BG, Station, Lafayette, Highlands last year. All well balanced or passing oriented teams. And its no secret why they have had success against the Knights.

 

The comment by guru let me know how much he knows about LC football. To say the weakest but they beat Boyle and to rank that same team above LC is puzzling to all.

We were not a healthy team during the stretch of games that we lost. Ryan had a concussion. In the first quarter against Station and we lost all our linebackers and a CB in the that 3 game stretch. We weren't full strength on D until the Marion game. So just wait until you see the team that takes the field starting this Friday.

Serious question LEX...is LC healthy now?? If so, sounds like CovCath and LC may be as healthy as they have been in a long time. I hope they both are - I want all the 4A teams at full strength come playoff time. The ironic thing is that if LC and CovCath are pretty healthy, HHS may be the most beat up team now since losing Abner and Watson in the Elder game...

Boyle is now at full strength too. We were playing several hurt starters as well as we were missing 3 linemen for the Catholic and Marion game.

The LexCath offense hasn't had an injury all year besides LG Colin Carpenter getting knocked out of the BG game in the 3rd quarter and Ryan getting concussed in the 2nd against Station, both returned by the next game though so hopefully that health continues.

 

On defense however they haven't been healthy since the first drive against Bowling Green. In fact in the middle of the year against Mad Central they were out all of their starting linebackers, the first backer off the bench, and then during the game both the starting safeties and a starting corner were injured. There hasn't been any season enders, and again hopefully continues, and they are now healthy and having success playing together.

From what I know... LB Mitchell ( hamstring ), LB Boling ( shoulder ), LB Foster ( ankle, concussion ) LB Pedrche ( ankle ) Safety Couch ( ankle ) CB Griggs ( concussion ). On offense we missed maybe half a ball game from linemen Carpenter and QB Ryan. Those defensive players have missed a significant amount of games, but all have been back and healthy I say right after the Boyle Co game. If I am wrong, please correct me.

Confident in team as a whole now. The offense has played very well all year. Penalties in the first month of the season hurt big time but the offense deserves their credit. Line play & skill players are doing their part.

 

Now the defense has everyone back and that has to make you smile no matter what program you root for. To have all of your guys in November is a plus. So yes we are healthy heading into the postseason. I'll take a 7-3 healthy team in any day when you are in a win or go home game. Now the contenders are still going to bring their A games against us. I expect an exciting run for everyone. Hurry up Friday & get here.

If Knox had their field messed up playing Corbin and they are using Union's field for Round 1, will that continue to be the host site for rounds 2 & 3 if they advance?

That's what the threads say. So I don't want then to play at nice place in week 1 of the playoffs and then make Boyle in week 2 and potential LC week 3 play on a mess of a field. It takes away from the quality of a game by playing on that mess
