Raceland played one helluva game, especially in the first half, Ironton scored late in the half to tie the game at 12. Ironton took over in the 4th qtr.. Ironton's Palidino ran for 3 td's, got loose around the corners. Palidino ended up with 178 yds., he Was THE Difference in this one.

I honestly don't believe that the Tigers are that much better than the Rams but they were better tonight. Congrats to any Ironton Fans on bgp :thumb:. Our RAMS were beaten by a better team on this night.

I also want to give praise to the Ironton coach, they had the ball on the RAMS 1 yd. line and took a knee instead of trying to score.,,,,,,,, Class Move Coach. :thumb:

This was by far the best team on the schedule, was great preparation for our next 5 week playoff run.

I see this game like the Ashland games, for Raceland to win, they need to get a lead and hold on to it. Raceland didn't do that tonight and Ironton looked to have wore them down in the fourth quarter. I think both teams benefited from this game before heading into the playoffs. Great all around game.

RAMS ..., You have had a very good season, one bad game where we should have beaten Ashland but that one was also a good prep game for our REAL Season starting next week.

That's why Raceland plays these kind of games / competition ...to get better, (not to drive over 2 hrs. to play some elementary school like some :sssh:) Yes, I just had to.

Now a question for Sidelinedoc and or TCA - Did we have anyone hurt tonight ? I think that the Rams were healthy going into this one tonight. What is the status going into the playoffs ?

Sounds like Ironton is back to it's old ways.. It sounded as though there may have been a few questionable calls that could have impacted the final result, but, good to see the Ram fans MAN up and not make excuses. I respect that. Class Act all the way. Good luck in your playoff run..

No, it wasn't an upset. Ironton was favored in most every newpaper, other polls. Except for bgp and we are laded with Raceland homers like me, lol. Plus, ours was a narrow one vote margin and the tiebreaker was my vote late Friday. :lol2:

Truthfully, this result didn't really surprise me. Ironton is a traditional Ohio power and they rarely lose at their stadium.
