Glad to hear the young man will be ok, with that being said, what went wrong just before half with the momentum on the breds side 3 timeouts left at mid field plenty of time to make something happen and you just let the clock run out? :no:Is it because the OC didn't know what to call or no faith in the offense I'm thinking OC? C'mon man.

Only the oc knows why and I wonder if he even knew why. Play to win!

I think people are being over critical of that. NCC tried to make plays on 1st down and 2nd down and got no where. They were facing 3rd and 10 at their own 35 with 40 seconds to go. Call a timeout and not get the 1st down then you have to punt the ball and give Beechwood a shot at making something happen. That would have taken out every bit of momentum NCC had built. The Breds were getting the ball to start the second half. I think the majority of football coaches would have let the clock run down like NCC did.

IMHO, they at least make the Regional finals, whether they win that game depends on myriad of things.

They will win the region. That I know.

I dont think that the NCC should be looking that far ahead. They will most likely face Newport or Walton Verona which both teams are hungry for a title. Walton comes off a big win against LCA who on paper is bigger, faster with more depth and talent. Walton has the leading rusher I believe in NKY if not the top 2 last I checked. So calling NCC a definite win in this region is a little arrogant because im looking at some nice talent up here in NKY and very much looking forward to the upcoming games in all the classes. Good luck to all teams and play safe.

Although this is not the strongest NCC team, I agree with Mexitucky. NCC wins the Region and quite likely the semis. The state champ comes out of the West again this season. That's not arrogance, just an opinion as to how far they will go. The Newport/Walton winner could certainly beat them in the regional finals, but I'm thinking NCC advances.

Very impressed with the mutual respect both Beechwood and NCC showed. I saw a lot of helmet patting and helping opponents up. #55 for the Tigers showed a lot of sportsmanship the whole game. Good Luck to both teams, they both have the talent to make deep runs in the playoffs!

I have watched enough to know that Newport has enough playmakers to win a game of broken plays. However, after the last game I don't see NewCath allowing themselves to be that undisciplined again in their pass rush. Unless WV can throw better than years past, they will have to break a few long runs. Anything is possible, but the fire forges steel and NewCath has been in the fire all year.
