He has run a variation of the spread since his days at Bowling Green. If you mean MSU, they run a more pro-style offense that seems based in West Coast principles. Mullen was with Meyer at UF so I'd assume the Os are similar. I thought some one said that UM people are wanting a spread O so I thought that would apply to who they select?

November 4, 201411 yr Here are the candidates, serious ones, according to a Michigan Fan Blog: Brad Bates: Bo nominated him as the next Michigan AD. Has the requisite experience at Michigan, and as an AD at BC. Likely that Bates is choice 1 or 1A. Ward Manuel: As with Bates, has a great deal of experience with Michigan, and as AD at Buffalo and UConn. Jeff Long: A good history within the Michigan athletic department, and understands it well. Currently the AD at Arkansas. Has hired Petrino and Bielema. To me, he would appear the favorite. Bob DeCarolis: Spent a long time in the Michigan athletic department and is presently at Oregon State as AD. He hired Mike Riley, who has done well. Interesting list. Another ironic fact about your list is the connection between Arkansas AD Jeff Long and Michigan Coach Brady Hoke. They played high school football together at Kettering (OH) Fairmont East. Jeff spent several years in the athletic department at Michigan so he is connected to the job.

Reclusive, horrible at raising money, not a solid negotiator, and in short, the Boston College job was a gift. If Michigan hired him, once I stopped laughing, they'd be on a non-stop trip to the 3rd tier in the Big 10. As someone said above, Clyde I think, this is a PLUM AD job. Top shelf. I'll be really surprised if Jim Phillips isn't the choice; currently the AD at Northwestern.

November 5, 201411 yr Wonder if Mark Richt would end up being a coaching target. Been at Georgia a long time. Gets criticised an awful lot for doing a pretty darn good job. Seems like both sides are kind of getting tired of each other. If what I read is accurate, his salary is 3.2 with no buy out.
