Highlands losses to Elder.

I had Elder by 20, so I am a little shocked this was as close as it was.

Highlands losses to Elder.

Good effort in the comeback bid by the birds! How is Abner? Would be a HUGE loss if serious.

Sounds like, as always, Birds kept punching. Hope everyone came out of the ball game healthy.

Rule 2 violation

Similar to the Columbus game, Birds waaaaay down early but kept fighting back which I like to see. Elder simply too much.

Elder is good.

So are the Birds.

This just in.

Ramsey is goooooooood!

Elder's won by more than 14 once that I can remember, in 98 or 99 I think. Several of the games have been by less than ten. Good series.

Too bad it is over....for now.

Ramsey is goooooooood!

Yes he is, very very impressive.

Columbus won last night.

I didn't get to see the game but I read that the Elder line caused problems all night for the Birds D. My memory tells me Elder has a 4 or 5* lineman in the bunch.

Tommy Kramer is a ND commit....AND only a junior

They have a 5 star junior going to Notre Dame, Tommy Kraemer

I still go back to the play before halftime. Highlands punts, Elder calls for a fair catch and it is "muffed". Highlands player picks it up on the bounce and is easily going to the "house" (would have scored EASILY)), but fumbles exchanging from one arm to the other and Elder recovers it. Two plays later Ramsey goes to the "house" from 52 yards out with 00:52 left in the half.
