October 25, 201411 yr Truly I haven't, but I just went to check it out... I was diggin' it, it's pretty fly. The video is pretty cool. It took me back to about 1980 when all of the sudden in my neighborhood there were a few kids that seemed to appear from nowhere and started break dancing at every party. . Those Wehry boys.

October 25, 201411 yr Jay-Z Tupac Biggie There should only be those three and that's it. I'm a self admitted Jay-Z hater and could never put him in the same breath as the other two you listed. Jay-Z is the king of stealing lines. I always have to put Rakim on any list because I think he's the Godfather of modern Hip Hop. He was ahead of his time.

I have a lot of respect for Rakim and others mentioned like Kool Herc, KRS-One and others but longevity goes a long way for me. They were all great and should be acknowledged for what they have done for Hip Hop but between them they probably have three great albums. Tupac and Biggie are no brainers. What Pac brought to the genre will never be duplicated. Biggie is probably the best lyricist ever. He wrote a song about fooling with Hubert Davis' girl and making Hubert pee on himself(I Got a Story to Tell). And got away with it. :lol2: One of the best songs I have ever heard. Jay-Z has to be on it. He's the most successful rapper ever. He won the game of life that rappers have chased and talked about their whole rap careers. It's not logical to have a Mt. Rushmore of Hip Hop and not have Jay-Z on it. Eminem and NaS are the closest to earning the next spot on my Mt. Rushmore but IMO they have both been horrible after their first two albums so they aren't worthy on mine.

He's worth millions of dollars, he's got street cred, he's got corporate cred and he has Beyonce. In the game of rap making money and getting a bad female on your arm are your signs of success. He won the game. Awards never get anything right and I couldn't tell you who won what award. I just know that everything Jay-Z touches turns to platinum and that he told us this would happen in Reasonable Doubt. No bias on NaS from me. Lyrically he and Biggie are easily the top 2. I just feel like after Stillmatic his work left much to be desired. I guess I should have said after his third album he fell off. I forgot Stillmatic was his third album. Even Jay-Z fans appreciated Ether for what it was. One of the greatest diss tracks ever. There isn't a whole lot Jay-Z could say to top that track but he did have his way with NaS' babymama and freestyled about it on HOT 97. :lol2:
