October 24, 201411 yr I feel bad for Russell Wilson. One of the most irritating things in this world as a black person is being told you aren't black enough. It's so stupid it's almost not worth mentioning but the damage it does to your psyche and the mistrust it causes is real. Russell Wilson has to go out and do his job every week and there's no doubt that he will but that locker room has some serious trust issues right now. I've always felt like black people disqualifying other blacks as being black is far more insulting than a white person calling a black person the n word. I always hurt way more when black people wouldn't accept me for who I am than when a white person would be racially ignorant towards me. I'm wondering if he knows where the statement came from. I thought I heard it suggested that it came from Marshawn Lynch. The term African American should only apply to people with immediate ties to Africa. Being black and being African American are two different things. I was born in Houston, Texas. I'm black like Russell Wilson.
