Ryle 5 Beechwood 0

Congrats to the Lady Raiders. They were very impressive. I'm hoping I can get to the Ryle Vs Notre Dame game. Should be a great game. Ryle looks so much better than they did a few weeks ago.

OSD,

I believe that Notre Dame plays Highlands and Ryle will play New Cath. Or were you assuming that ND and Ryle would both win and meet in the Regional final?

Thanks, A Ryle Parent told that Ryle played ND on Wed. Thanks. I'll keep an eye out.

I don't assume anything with regards to who will win these next games. The Ryle team last night was so different from the one I saw just a couple of weeks ago. So I assume that other teams stepping up to that same level.

I just wish I could watch the finish of the tourney.

The "play by play" at Ryle is over the top. Not only is it non-stop, he sounds like he is announcing at a carnival, he offers opinions on whether plays are good/bad etc, (which he shouldn't), and is often incorrect regarding players names, #'s etc. Games would be SO much more enjoyable without any of it!

I agree with the comment about the Ryle announcer......draws way too much attention to himself. The only one worse would be whoever called the Bishop Brossart/Campbell County District final game at Scott.

That was the normal boys announcer last night. I'm usually never one to complain, especially since I don't want to step up and do it, but I agree he can be a little over the top. It was great to see the student section support for both teams. You don't usually see that during the season.

Play by play is always a bad idea. Some states actually ban play by play announcing.

On another note, congratulations to the Beechwood girls on making the regional.

Just PRAYING he is not there tonight!!!

Welcome to BGP "Soccertaxi".

I'm so glad someone brought up the play by play. Every announcer needs to take note. Just stop it. Don't try to make excuses for them. I would rather have no announcer than one that is constantly talking and giving their opinion. It ruins the game.

I was told that he will be announcing tonight and Saturday

Unfortunately, I think you received some reliable info, with Ryle hosting I bet he will be there.
