Highlands 1960, 1961, 1964, 1968, 1970, 1975, 1977, 1981, 1982, 1989, 1992, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012

Just calling it how I see it. I think a lot of people are underestimating this Highlands team because a couple Highlands supporters/posters have said they're not as good or deep as some previous years. Add that to the "they aren't winning with a running clock" like they did last year. I'm of the opinion that Highlands can compete with and beat any team in the state.

 

We know, we know BG is the class of the state because you say so and we should just take that as gospel.

 

People think and say Highlands is down this year, but the same can be said about BG.

 

Those that haven't seen Highlands play seem to be very opinionated about what they can or can't do. The next month should be very interesting.

 

The margin of victory over an inferior opponent, running clock notwithstanding, should not be any indication of team strength. HHS has played substitutes in games that are clearly decided without regard for the running clock. While the team is very dependent upon the success of Hoge, they certainly see the need to play Hergot as the number 2 QB and likely number 1 next year. They have also had a few injuries to key personnel that has forced substitution in many of the games. Lastly and possibly most important I'm not sure the coaching staff of 2014, particularly the head coach, feel compelled to run up the score or pile on once the game is well in hand.

I laugh at these posts because the same person on every thread is the one under fire.
