I am not sure about Walton, it does not seem wide enough.

 

I was told that Dixie is not wide enough, just a couple yards too narrow.

 

Scott must be OK since they are hosting this year.

When at the game, get yourself an order of fried Oreos, and you'll not care why CCH didn't/couldn't host the districts.

 

I really wish they had a drive-thru. I'd go more often.

Also---prepare for limited parking at Dixie. If their band is practicing they take up about half of the parking lot.

Not sure that the CCH field meets the new requirements either, it might not be large enough.

 

Do you have a KHSAA link for this info? If there are only 1 or 2 NKY HS fields that can meet the requirements, that's astonishing and very interesting. I'd like to read that. I've always thought that a smaller field benefits the home team because they know how to play on it, versus a team who likes to spread out in space. It won't affect good teams who make it this far in the playoffs because they probably prefer large fields. I've always been baffled at the disparity between the size of soccer fields from school to school.

Agree on the parking. I was there for Districts and it was horrible. The band was practicing until 9:00. Had to park across Dixie Highway because of that mess. You think they would practice after school during these big tournament nights.

"There shall be a public address system

available and a public address announcer who

shall be approved by the tournament

competitors."

 

Nothing personal against the gentlemen but i think the players and coaches would appreciate less color commentary especially when he was guessing at ref calls or when a player made a mistake.

 

I've just never heard such constant commentary at a HS game. You don't have half that amount at a college game.

That first experience listening to the Ryle announcer is quite something alright! It gets more and more annoying as the nights, seasons, years go on!!!

Cant make to the Dixie V CCH match tonight. Do you know if their concession stand delivers. If so I'll take a couple of those fired Oreos.... And then maybee I will understand the NFW..
