You can't pick a team that is loved in the local area and say "see, you don't like to see KY lose" and blanket a statement how no one likes upsets.

 

I was gonna use Highlands football as my example, but they're loved too much.

Root for UK basketball and any other team that plays Duke.

 

I still hate Christian Laettner.

Would have to say that NDA is like UK Basketball.....worlds largest target on their back. Hoping for an HHS upset but they must get by a good Boone County team first. Going to be an exciting week for NKY high school soccer.

We had 3 different threads that were discussing the upcoming 9th Region tournament. I merged them to enhance the discussion for all.

I would put them in order as ND, HHS, NCC, Ryle, Dixie, St Henry, Boone and Beechwood. I will say Boone is the only team I have not seen play this year so just making guess about them.

I've seen the Boone girls 3 times this year. Very young team. I think they may start 1 or possibly 2 seniors. You an see they are trying to play control ball but with their youth the speed of game from teams like NDA and Ryle causes them to struggle. I saw the Ryle game at districts finals and they were up 2-0 before Ryle kicked it into another gear and the speed and size of Ryle's front were too much to match with due to, in my opinion, their youth.
