Not sold on Bell in the Top 5 right now. Let's see how they fare vs. Corbin though.

 

PT starting to show improvement... and Garrard IMHO has proven themselves.

 

Think that is the correct set of 10 teams.. just may move a few of them around between 5-8

I think a lot will be sold on Bell after this week.

Not sold on Central being number 3, in the past years they've proved that they deserve their rankings but not this year. They lost a GREAT senior class, tough game for them Friday, Henry County has arguably their best team to hit the field since 2009. Must see game in 3A. Henry Co. Is averaging 40.7 points a game while only giving up 12.7

You may be right, especially if they have an effective passing game. Bell Co. and Corbin are both strong vs. a running game, but may be vulnerable to a good passing game. Corbin has more offensive weapons than Bell Co., although Corbin has careless turnovers and penalties that could spell defeat against a good defensive team like Bell.

 

I'm not sure either one can make it to Bowling Green.

Very Good Valid Points. I agree with all of that.

I think Corbin is a little under valued. I could see them coming out of the west side of the bracket.

Maybe that is true. Corbin might be better but I do think they would beat Bell. But if Bell beats Corbin then its all speculation.

Not making excuses, but Garrard didn't play well that game. The offense was still in its infancy and has progressed a great deal since that game. Remember Garrard is playing with an entirely new staff and offensive philosophy this season, which took time to develop. (Of course you could say something similar about Corbin)

Garrard is certainly more of a running team than a passing team. However, the last few weeks have seen Garrard pass the ball more often than earlier in the year, and they've been pretty effective at it. It will be interesting to see how the offense evolves going into the postseason.

The plus for Corbin (or Bell) is that by winning the district, they would get all four playoff games at home before the state final. Central would have to come to the mountains, as would South Warren or Tilghman.
