One of the toughest things about playing in the GCL is you don't have a week when you can bring your C game and survive. Your C game gets you beat and your B game probably gets you beat.

 

Take a look at the schedules Mo and X play, not just the three league games but the other 7. They are just sick. Elder's is brutal too but not as tough as X and Mo this year. As good as Mo is, if it does not bring at least its "B" game, it could lose to 8 of its 10 opponents this year. CCH was literally the easiest game on its schedule...and that is when CCH was healthy.

Decent chance the GCL South ends in a three way tie this year. Not the first time it's happened, but yeah that's pretty competitive in a four team league.

 

If LaSalle beats Elder, the Lancers, Moeller, and X all finish 2-1 in league play. All having gone 1-1 against each other.

 

And that would leave Elder 0-3 in league play, after knocking off Lakewood St. Ed's, which raised some eyebrows.

 

D-I playoffs will be fun this year.

 

In D-II, I'm thinking it will be several rounds before LaSalle gets tested.

 

FWIW, I have no problem with Cincy threads on this board. Especially when talking about large schools or schools that have played NKY teams. We don't live in a fishbowl.

The St. Xavier Bombers and Moeller Crusaders results may have a huge impact on the 6A District 4 order of finish if a three way tie-breaker is needed.

Only one word can describle GCL football..."Grueling"

Surprised at this after the way the Lancers handled Moeller.

 

X is playing very well right now especially considering they are starting their third string qb. Their defense has really stepped up to keep them in big games.

I believe X also lost their starting fullback in the Highlands scrimmage to an ACL injury
