Recognizing their meaningless, but does this win get Conner back in the rankings of the coaches poll?

 

I've said it before, the improvemet and resolve this team has shown this season has been impressive and fun to watch.

 

Last night's game was played in an absolute monsoon on a grass field. I believe Conner only has one more home game, the finale vs CCH, but that field is wrecked.

1-9 this year and 1-9 last year. HC has fallen off so far its hard to believe they won a championship just 3yrs ago. However, they have a kid that is ineligible right now that is an unbelievable athlete. He might be the best athlete in NKY the next 2yrs. Watch out for the name Derek Barnes. He is a legit D1 athlete and could start for anyone in NKY right now

HC has 2 of those type athletes that are only sophomores. When D.Barnes becomes eligible HC will be hard to deal with in 2A.

Let's clear up some rumors. The decision about Derrick Barnes is scheduled to come down from the KHSAA tomorrow (10/16). Some think he will be cleared...others do not. Once he is cleared, rules state that he must participate in 11 practices before he could play. At the earliest, that would be the first round of the playoffs. At the latest, he would probably be eligible around 11/8 which means Holy Cross would need to win 3 rounds of the playoffs and reach the semi-finals for Barnes to be able to play.
