Anyone have any idea why this game was as close at it was?

Well Dayton beat Brossart 18-13 and Ludlow beat Brossart 16-7. And Ludlow beat Bracken Co by 42 and Dayton beat them by 19. So a 27-22 win is not out of line too much.

IMO I think Ludlow overlooked Dayton. If Dayton had any type of passing attack at all, they would have won this game. Far too often there were penalties by Ludlow guys at the end of the play or away from the play that would cost them. Good thing though is those are all correctable mistakes and from what I know Ludlow is realitively young. Should be a good match up next week against Bellevue for the #2 seed. (Sorry Ludlow, Beechwood will lock that #1 seed down)

Great game to watch. Can't fault the effort from either team both of them played with a ton of effort and enthusiam. Congratulations to the Panthers who now own a record of 5-2 and 1-0 in district play. Huge game next week at Bellevue.
