KHSB1 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Two big time rivals hooked up for a another great game.
larrylegend Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 The two district wins and the two regional wins have all been double digit victories. I'd say Billy Hicks is the real deal. At this point he cruising through the 11th region.
stick1 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Losing Reid Brown was a HUGE blow to Lex Cath. Congrats to Scott Co. They really have a great thing going with their basketball program! I wonder how long before there is another High School in Scott Co for anybody around there? The growth in that area is booming and I always wondered if they would get another school?

I believe they already have to middle schools.
Mr. No Name Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Anyone know who won the Madison Central/Woodford County game
bcfan24 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Scott Co is one team I wouldn't want to play in Rupp (if they get there...) Brandon Salsman has done a tremendous job at both Bourbon Co. and Lexington Catholic. Catholic will continue to be a tough out aslong as he is the coach...... There are so many games I'd love to go too across the state, too bad a person has to choose.....
knightsdad Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Scott County has played some outstanding basketball late in the season. They killed Catholic with their rebounding tonight. Haddix was superb and I wish him well at the next level. Is Walls a senior? How about Mackey? LexCath should be all riight next year with the core of Novosel, Newton, Stewart, Tribble, and Botkin all returning for several years. Nothing seemed to work for Catholic tonight and it was because of Scott County and their hard-nosed defense. Good luck tomorrow and beyond.

Haddix and Walls are juniors, Mackey is a sophmore.
KHSB1 Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 Catholic will most likely be back in the finals next year. Even without Burke ,Hewitt and Brown. The Knights and Scott co have some of the states best young talent. Give credit to their coaching staffs.
Augger Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 This game had two teams that you would like to see play for the state championship. I feel like Scott County has a great chance of winning the state this year. Coach Hicks has a great team and the past history to help in winning these games.
sccards60 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I believe they already have to middle schools. A third one is being built now and will be ready to use next school year. Scott Co MS, Georgetown MS, and now the new Royal Springs MS.
sccards60 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 This game almost felt like it was the Region championship. I hope SC doesn't overlook Madison Central at all.
