The two district wins and the two regional wins have all been double digit victories. I'd say Billy Hicks is the real deal. At this point he cruising through the 11th region.

Losing Reid Brown was a HUGE blow to Lex Cath. Congrats to Scott Co. They really have a great thing going with their basketball program! I wonder how long before there is another High School in Scott Co for anybody around there? The growth in that area is booming and I always wondered if they would get another school?

Scott Co is one team I wouldn't want to play in Rupp (if they get there...)

 

Brandon Salsman has done a tremendous job at both Bourbon Co. and Lexington Catholic. Catholic will continue to be a tough out aslong as he is the coach......

 

There are so many games I'd love to go too across the state, too bad a person has to choose.....

Scott County has played some outstanding basketball late in the season. They killed Catholic with their rebounding tonight. Haddix was superb and I wish him well at the next level. Is Walls a senior? How about Mackey? LexCath should be all riight next year with the core of Novosel, Newton, Stewart, Tribble, and Botkin all returning for several years. Nothing seemed to work for Catholic tonight and it was because of Scott County and their hard-nosed defense. Good luck tomorrow and beyond.

For Scott Co. the only senior is Thompson, a 5"11 guard. Haddix and Walls are juniors, Mackey is a sophmore.

Catholic will most likely be back in the finals next year. Even without Burke ,Hewitt and Brown. The Knights and Scott co have some of the states best young talent. Give credit to their coaching staffs.

This game had two teams that you would like to see play for the state championship. I feel like Scott County has a great chance of winning the state this year. Coach Hicks has a great team and the past history to help in winning these games.

This game almost felt like it was the Region championship. I hope SC doesn't overlook Madison Central at all.
