September 30, 201412 yr Breaking News................. Clyde on the side of the officials.:lol2: Not a shock, right? However, my point in this case is valid. League is setting itself up for a problem with vague rules.
September 30, 201412 yr Not a shock, right? However, my point in this case is valid. League is setting itself up for a problem with vague rules. Absolutely.
September 30, 201412 yr What is wrong with going to the sideline and praying? Didnt Tebow do that? I'm with that. So, regardless of the deity, are they that impatient that they can't wait to be praised til you go to the sideline? Or do you have to praise them immediately while you are on camera in the endzone?
September 30, 201412 yr NFL Admits Mistake in Penalizing Muslim Player Who Prayed After Touchdown The NFL can't be vague in their rules. You either can go to a knee or your knees or you can't. Initially it looked like a soccer slide. Not until he put his head down did it look anything like him praying. A one knee prayer is much easier to identify because they aren't sliding in, ala soccer.
September 30, 201412 yr OK, that was a dumb call and penalty. Move on and tell them NO CELEBRATIONS of ANY KIND unless done on sideline. Unless they spike the ball. Kind of a thing they have always waited to do since it wasnt allowed in college or HS.
October 2, 201411 yr Good for the NFL. :thumb: More lenient end-zone celebration rules would have prevented this. No harm in what he did, even the slide which was "the problem." Love the enthusiasm, love the competition, and taking even a little part of the game away such as celebrations loses a tiny bit of the "entertainment" portion of football. Plus, I've dunked a football over a goal post. Pretty fun
