ATLCat Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Though I still don't think PT has enough size and depth to compete for a 3A title...it is very clear Rogers is starting to mold this program to his standards. Quality win!
Commander 25 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Looks like a nice win for the Tornadoes.
gchs_uk9 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Good, needed win for Paducah Tilghman, but this is one of the weaker Henderson County teams in several years. Still not sure what to make of the Blue Tornado.
G1 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Paducah has played a tough schedule while Henderson has been out touring cupcake factories.
GloryDays Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 PT winning didn't shock me by any means, but Henderson only scoring 6 was a bit unexpected even after the shutout by Mad-NH. It appears teams with speed give them trouble.

I'm sorry but Evansville Reitz, Madisonville, Christian County, & Covington Catholic are far from cupcake factories. Not sure who you are referring to.

Not sure who you are referring to. Was thinking the same thing. Henderson's opponents are a combined 17-16. Not world beaters, but far from a cupcake factory.
woodsrider Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Henderson just doesn't have the horses this year. With their starting QB out for this one they just weren't s treat through the air.
truebluefan89 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Other than PT's one scoring pass, both teams were completely lackluster in the first half. After the half PT made some good adjustments on both the offense and defense that made things more interesting. Hendos big tackle Mason Wolfe was completely stufiing the right side all night so PT brought up help on that side to prevent Hendo from turning the corner. On offense PT used a combination of short quick passes underneath the defense and a steady dose of counter running plays to keep the Hendo defense frustrated and guessing who had the ball. On one play I saw Hendo tackle three different PT players. PT is still undermanned, undersized, and overmatched, but they are showing steady improvement and growth.
Ninja turtles Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Don't forget henderson only qb was out and he is their 2nd best defense player behind wolf. Henderson just has no depth. They also where using their their number three kicker. And he wasn't 100 percent. Henderson should beat Daviess and Marshall. Then should loss last two games but if healthy both games should be 10 to 14 pt loses.
truebluefan89 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Hendo will easily beat Marshall and probably Daviess as well, but the McCracken game they will lose by way more than 2 scores, regardless of who they have back-
Sweeperboy Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 No disrespect to HC schedule from me, I have not seen HC play this yr either but I have seen PT play and they are 10-12 extra guys from being able to sustain full games against losses this yr that otherwise could have been wins and much closer games. Lawnboy13 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Paducah has played a tough schedule while Henderson has been out touring cupcake factories. You never cease to amaze.
