Purples JV quarterback, Clark Payne throws 4 TD strikes and BG defense gets the shutout against the Spartans.

Way to go JV Purples! Especially Clark Payne! Hope he gets a couple series in the next two varsity games.

After all Doubletake's talk of SW closing the gap on BG, where does this game, where BG didn't play it's top three Soph.'s including Carathores, leave that argument?

What argument?

What argument are you referring to??? BG always has been and always will be deeper than SW... South has several Sophomores playing up on varsity too that we're not a part of this game. I fail to understand your point though.... I have said that this year and next years varsity squad could compete with BG.

With the 9-1 beat down in the summer plus this game you should just acknowledge who little brother really is.

... I have said that this year and next years varsity squad could compete with BG.

...and that's a comical statement.

Then SW should have stepped up and scheduled BG

SW was asked to play BG at the Rafferty's Bowl and declined.

Umm Purple88 I think the fact about the Raferty's Bowl are a little off. From my understanding Smith declined to schedule a Home and Home with Bowling Green for the next two years and offered to play in the Raferty's Bowl one of those years. Wallace said Monroe wanted to play them next year and John Hardin the following so South will Play John Hardin Next year in the Raferty's Bowl and Monroe the following and BG will play Monroe and John Hardin. Now I am not saying that South wanted to or didn't want to. I am saying from my understanding they did decline a Home and Home contract and couldn't work out anything in the Raferty's Bowl.

Not saying your wrong just stating what I heard.

No worries JC; that's just what I was told as well. I would say we're close in the overall gist of it regardless. The overall fact is SW will not be playing BG anytime soon.
