I just want to state for the record that I have a great respect for Jim. He is a class act and is a very good coach. But as politics normally go, when someone wants you out (whether it's parents or an administrator who you don't see eye to eye with) you have little chance of surviving. I wish Jim the best wherever he lands and Somerset just lost a class coach and person. I know he'll take his skills somewhere else and be successful.

When you have kids injured it really makes it tough to win.

When you have kids go down, I'll agree, it is very tough to win. But think about it this way: in the three years he was there they only won one Class "A" Region championship after winning six in a row, one district win, no region appearances. So, ask yourself, how good of a coach WAS Jim Brown?

Talent level was down. Everybody saw it coming. Can't blame it all on Jim. Sometimes not enough horses in the stable.... Any word on a replacement?

I've been hearing that Chris Adkins will probably be the next girls coach. Should be a good fit if it is so, he led the upcoming Senior and Junior girls to a 40 (some) and 5 combined record while coaching them in Middle School.

IMO, Chris would be the best possible replacement for the Jumpers.

I hope he doesn't spit tobacco on the floor. Never seen him without his chew.

Him and Rice (SW) could have a tobacco spitting contest during their game or games each year.
