Congratulations to Matt Rose on his recent commitment to Samford.... I think this brings the Nike Travelers count to 4 D1 commitments in their Senior Class. WVU, Vanderbilt, Samford, and UNC Ashville

5. McDonald to NKU.

Congrats to Matt Rose and his family. Awesome achievement for him!! Good look for the Travelers also on their 5th D-1 commitment.

Congrats to Matt Rose on his commitment to Samford University. He keeps getting better and better each time he takes the court and I'm looking for him to have a breakout season this winter for Lexington Christian. As he is young for his grade, he may still have a little more growing to do as well.

As for the Travelers, their top 8 players from this past summer include 5 D1 commits, Jalen Perry from Ballard who is a D1 talent but not yet committed anywhere, and 2 from class of 2016 (Braxton Beverly, Carson Williams) who will certainly be D1 commits next year.

Congrats to Matt, Samford has a very good Lexington Pipeline going on(Christian Cunningham, CM Newtons son(AD) and grandson are also involved with the program. I think this thread goes to show the current state of HS basketball, the only mention of him playing for his school team was in the first post...10 or so years kids will opt out of HS to play club...

Totally agree with this post.

You can add Darius Gibson to the Lexington pipeline as well. The former Tates Creek player will play for Samford this year after spending two years at Barton Community College and he may well be Samford's best player this season.
