I know you love Eli. I already acknowledged your man crush on him and that is fine. I just wish you would once I awhile step back from you bias and actually look at what he actually is and that is avg to below avg QB more times than not.

 

He isn't top tier or even 2nd tier QB. He is 3rd tier QB along with Dalton and crew. That's it.

 

His numbers don't support your claim that he is below average.

 

Neither do his stats, which you seem to love, regarding the 1st super bowl run. I know your team can't seem to ever win championships, but it does take more than one win to do so.

I said avg and sometimes below avg. His numbers do support that. He is avg to below avg when it comes to compl% and he is near the bottom many times in INT's in a season. To think anything else is just plain bias.

2013: Last year Compl% with QB's that threw over 100 passes minimum Eli was 34th in the league. There are only 32 teams and he couldn't even break that number.

Eli also in 2013 had the most INT's in the entire league.

 

That is below Avg. To say it isn't is just silly.

 

2012: Eli had 16 INT's the most in the league that year was 19.

Eli finished 20th in Compl % again a little below avg (Which would of been finishing around 16th)

Again a below AVG season.

 

2011: Eli finished with 7th most INT's in the league

and finished with one of his best Compl % years but still finished 14th in the league which puts him at AVG for compl% but once again below avg for INT's.

 

That is what I'm talking about when I say he's avg and sometimes below avg.

You realize some QBs throw over 100 passes in 2 to 3 games right? If at least look at players over 300 which would be about 10 games if they throw 30 a game.

 

And last year was different than almost any other year in that his offensive line was at it's worst. Allah hakeem nicks decided to not play all year. Ive watched every down of Giants football for the last 10 years...their OL was bad.

Now you want to talk about Drew Brees. He is one of those upper tier QB's that Eli will never be. Brees never has thrown as many INT's in a season as Eli has just last year. Actually Brees only had 1 season where he threw over 20 INT's. As a matter of fact Eli has 30 more INT's than Brees since Eli came into the league. As far as Brees and his compl% Brees' career compl% is higher than Eli's best season compl%. Brees Career Compl % is 65.9%, Eli's best YEAR is only 62.9 % lol. Brees' Career coompl % is 8 % points higher than Eli's lol. Eli can't even carry Drew Brees' jock. Oh and you can ignore this because I know what you think about QB Rating, but Drew's career QB Rating is 15 points higher....15 POINTS HIGHER than Eli's for their careers.

I've admitted Eli played bad last year. I can also see the reasons why he played bad. He tries to do too much at times. He made one really bad pass Monday after scrambling for his life.

Looking at Completion % (which really tells you how accurate a QB is, so yea we shouldn't use that as a factor on judging QB's) and INT's are not what you want to use to judge a QB because Eli is bad in those categories, so why should we look at those? You say he sets records....what records?

Did you know Elis offense prior to this year was based on deeper throws more often than most teams? Last year Eli averages throwing the ball 9.5 yards per pass. Longer than any other QB. His offense want built around completion percentage. Which is one reason Giants fans became frustrated with Kevin Gilbride as offensive coordinator. It was like he didn't care if the line sucked, he was going to run the same offense.
