I don't know him personally but based on what I have read about him he is a very hard worker. He just doesn't let things get to him which probably helps him under pressure.

He isn't a HOF QB as some have mentioned, he is a below avg QB that happened to have 2 good SB games. Those games don't dismiss all his other games woes.

 

This isn't something new with Eli, just look at his entire career, this isn't a recent anomaly. It's par for the course with him.

 

In 10+ seasons and counting Eli has only had 2 seasons where his rating broke 90.

He also has only had 2 seasons where he played in 10 or more games where he threw less than 15 INT's and never had any of those seasons where he threw less than double digit interceptions.

 

To put it in It's simplest form. Eli is averaging more than 1 int a game for his entire career. That is 1+ Int's every single game he plays. That is not good.

I don't care about QB rating because it's a useless stat. I don't expect you to understand that.

It's funny you want to dismiss his two super bowls and only count his bad games. He's really only had one bad season. He didn't put up the numbers everyone else does but he never needed to. He's always been good with the game on the line and he's always given the Giants the chance to be good.

 

I'm not sure that Eli is a HOFer right now. But he's closer than you think. Average QBs don't win two super bowls and two super bowl MVPs. And that wasn't just one or two games. I know the Bengals don't do it often but you do realize you have to win a few playoff games to make the super bowl right?

His numbers don't really support your statement that he's played more bad games than good.

I watched the entire game because I was playing my wife's team in fantasy football and she has Cruz on her team and was not happy with him or Eli.

 

Everyone apparently would grade out positive if he did by throwing more Int's than TD's. Pretty cool grading system apparently.

I don't need to read the article if it says he did a great job and they give him a passing grade for that game.

You are so stuck on 1 game, the Super Bowl and you refuse to look at the rest of his career. So for you you only look at .0001% of his career and discard everything else so how do you expect anyone to carry on a conversation about Eli's performance seriously with you?

Something else you seem to forget. All QB's have receivers drop passes yet they don't consistently throw as many INT's as Eli does nor do they have ratings as low as Eli consistently does.
