Why all the talk about schedules when this is about a coaches poll that not even all the coaches voted in. Highlands is number 1 until someone knocks them off in NKY. Based upon early season results CovCath is number 2. For spots 3 and on, one could argue for SK, Dixie, Campbell County or Cooper IMO.

Softball - Scott Co (6A) vs McCracken (6A) --- SC won

Boys Bball - Scott Co (6A) vs Cov Cath (4a) --- CC won

Girls Bball - Butler (6A) vs Etown (3A) ----Butler won

Boys Soccer - Trinity (6A) vs Dunbar (6A) --- Dunbar won

Girls Soccer - Notre Dame vs Sacred Heart ---ND won

I am pretty impressed with Scott. Scott has outscored their opponents 91-7. I think win big this week.

Okay, wasn't able to find much on the other sports, but I did find this.

 

Fishin was won by Reginald Hatfield from Petuck Co. Their enrollment is 23. He was awarded a full ride to Middle Northeast South Central Tennessee State fir fishin. So far this year, Reginald leads their conference with "a lot of fish caught". So I guess there really is hope fir the small schools!

I jumped in to give RCC9 a hard time.

 

As to the poll, the top 3 will probably be the same all year. Maybe in a different order, but those are the best 3 in NKY. The rest of the top 10 will change week to week based on the remaining matchups.

 

Games I'm looking forward to seeing are Campbell Cty and SK and of course H and CCH. Those games should decide their respective districts.

Dang nice research. With all the large schools doing so well..............I feel like someone should start a tourney for the smaller schools. Maybe call it the Small School State.......no wait lets call something to do with their size but lets not use Small.......maybe Class A or something......maybe like for all the A schools......hey I got it.....lets call it the All-A State Championship!!!!!!!!
