Friday night the Collins Titans will host their crosstown rivals the Shelby County Rockets. Collins is 0-3 for the first time ever entering this game, and Shelby County is 1-2 with their only win coming against Spencer County 39-38.

 

Collins leads the all time series 4-0 winning by an average score of 41-14, however, the Titans have struggled mightily on offense so far this season. Collins has played a much tougher schedule than the Rockets, playing Simon Kenton, South Oldham, and Ballard, while Shelby County has played Henry County, Spencer County, and Frankfort.

 

Will Collins continue their undefeated streak against Shelby County or will the Rockets finally break through and win one over the Titans?

I'll take Collins to put their first W on the season.

This should be a good game. Collins is 0-3, and although their losses have come against good competition, they have looked just plain terrible on offense. Shelby County's defense hasn't been all that intimidating, but Collins hasn't shown that they are capable of scoring either. Both teams have reasons to feel good about this one.

What has happened to Collins? Not sure who to take in this one but I guess I'll go with Collins getting their first W. Something like 24-20.

Ill take Shelby in this one!! Harris and Woolwine in the passing game will be key. Harris avg about 81 yds per game and that will open up Stoudimire and manica in the running game

Collins will get their first win of the season tonight. Coach Lucas is a great coach and is playing with a lot of younger guys who saw very little varsity actiob before this season. With that being said, this is a cross-town rivalry and there is no prep talk needed to get these guys hyped up tonight. These kids know each other and even hangout with each other. The bragging rights will stay on the west end of Shelbyville

It's looking like I'm going to be at this game tonight checking things out. I love seeing a the new rivalry as it's being formed here. I know it essentially existed right out of the gate when Collins opened their doors, but it's good to know there are people on both sides expecting to win this one tonight. Sounds like a good night for football.
