I will tell you how many snaps my kid got last year in the game. ZERO!!! Highlands offensive line consists of one kid that did not play football last year, two that played defense, one that is hurt. What else do you want me to tell you. The facts have been presented, if you choose to ignore them then that is your choice.

 

And his kid is a good player, but was a sophomore last year. Here's the thing. They did have 50 by half. But, HHS usually plays most of their starters most of the half because (and not being cocky), when they are good, most games are over by half. So if you pull them in the first half, the starters would never see any minutes. So, yes I'm sure they dipped a little bit into the well in the first half, but not very far. Now, if you remember the game, Station came out in the second half and had 2-3 really quick scores and HHS got stopped a couple times with the second teamers back in. I believe the starters actually came back in to put more points on the board when Station made a run. But then I doubt that it made it past the second team the rest of the game because Station showed they weren't going to lay down. I asked myself the question of why Station kept their starters in the entire game down 50. HHS had clearly put in the second team and Station kept playing their starters. Seems like it would have been a good opportunity to play some other kids and test them. If I'm not mistaken, Station scored on the last play of the game with a long TD pass from their starting QB to their starting WR. So I would say that not every kid got in because Station left their starters in the entire game and HHS wanted to make sure they managed the game. Heck, I think HHS only scored twice in the second half.

Rcc9 I was there and a HHS fan informed me before half that they were going to hang a hundred on station it just seemed that a lot of birds got in I mean it seemed like new wr every other play and as the hostess on the jumbo tron said the jv played lol and yeah station made a "rally" the starters came in and scored at will so if they had played the younger kids might have given up 100 station just doesn't have the number your jv came down the next week and they didn't have the score board on lol

Well first I would say 1 of the hundreds of HHS fans said they were going to hang 100 on them means nothing to the coaching staff. HHS does not run the score up and never have. Period. Many won't believe that, but it's true.

 

As for the receivers last year, they did that every game. It was nothing to see 8-10 receivers with catches in a game last year. With the amount of depth they had, that was one of their strategies. Every play, they would replace their receivers with a new set. First set would run routes and the db would jog back to the line to see another set of receivers lined up and ready to go. Pretty intimidating and wears you down over a course of a game. They aren't that deep at receiver this year, so they don't sub like that. It had nothing to do with playing kids, it was one of their strategies last year. HHS always finds advantages to take. Last year's team took advantage of their depth at receiver. They adapt every year.

Yes that was one of the things our kids said they would cover a guy on a steak and come back and see a new guy I really liked the environment that you all have going on up there we joked that the seniors on the poster were about as many as our roster it's kinda cool to watch the replay too

It is kinda crazy when you hear "Highlands graduates 25-30 seniors each year".

 

I haven't seen them enough to understand the strategies this year (unless it's to false start and hold, kidding HHS fans!), but I'm sure they have something that will become a trend that they feel is a strength they can take advantage of.

Ok. I tend to extrapolate based on the entire season rather than performance in a single game, unless that game is then repeated. If a 14 beats a 2 seed in March Madness I never have them as a favorite to go to the final four.

Does anyone know if they are broadcasting the game tonight at Bryan Station? Doesn't look like the Bird announcers are going on the road. Thanks
