Boone County 4 Dixie Heights 4 (boys)

Boone took a 4-0 lead only to give it up.

Boone player took 2 yellows - I will let everyone guess who.

For my money Boone has the worst fans in NKY, although there are others who challenge them nightly for their crown. :)

Who got 2 yellows?

Had Boone pretty high up on my list (although I forgot to put them in my top 10). If I were to tier the teams, I would have placed Boone in the second and Dixie in the third.

I would like to hear some details....sounds like the first half Boone had it well in hand.......was it adjustments in the form, coaching, subs........a two goal comeback, ok......but a 4-0 turn around?

Surprising.

Probably would not have overlooked them if you would have not included so many Girl squads in your top 10. :lol2:

Don't forget Archery, and Bowling, they are both gaining momentum.

My oldest has 3 varsity letters senior year.....

Soccer, baseball and bowling.......bowling was the only sport in which they won regions.

You could tell who he was by his number...... He was number 10. It was written on the back of his shoes.

I have found it hard to scout bowlers, several teams appear to use numbers repeatedly. I have seen as many as 4 kids from the same team using #10.

What is it with Boone coming back from or blowing multi-goal leads? I remember they came back from a couple down multiple times last year.

Here is WCPO.com's write-up:

Dixie Heights erased a four-goal deficit in the second half, tying it on a late goal by senior midfielder Wynn Feltner to salvage a 4-4 tie vs. Boone County on Tuesday.

Colonels junior striker Andres Rivera sent a pass through traffic to Feltner, who rolled a shot into the corner of the net to tie it with a minute left in regulation.

Feltner finished with two goals and an assist, and Rivera scored once and picked up the helper on the final goal.

The Rebels led by two at halftime and netted two more goals early in the second half four before Dixie Heights began its comeback with 25 minutes left in regulation.

HALFTIME: Boone County, 2-0. GOALS: BC—Suarez, Brock, Rice, Downs. DH—Feltner 2, Sang, Rivera. RECORDS: Boone County 0-0-1, Dixie Heights 0-0-1.

In another thread many wanted yellow cards to control the game but in this game Boone took two yellows in the first seven minutes. The cards did not seem to get the desired affect as both teams continued to foul without fear. Boone player gets his second card and Dixie scores two goals when Boone plays a man down the final twenty.

Who was ejected for Boone?

I was told that it was Borkowski.

From what I heard, the second card was pretty weak.
