Good to see Ludlow having some success in the small school division!

Walton Verona 42 Sharp 0. WV dominated both sides of ball.

Games scheduled at Holmes today were cancelled today due to heat index. Kind of hard to believe that heat was that bad today.

Seriously? its only 82 out and cloudy.

Best day we have had in two weeks. Said the heat index is 114.

What joke.

Unbelievable isn't it?? My weather app said 76 when I got the notification.

They said it was 109 on the field??? Someone needs repremanded for this! Today wasted alot of parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, coaches, and players time. This was uncalled for!!:banghead:

I totally agree . Said the head judge of jv game at Holmes called game in 4Q.Heat index. He was going to ref the middle school games. He should be reprimanded.

I want all to click this link and look at the chart, the high today was 84 ish, so look at the chart and see what the humidity had to be in order to call off the games.

If the official high was 84 degrees remember that is the temperature taken in the shade, not the on field temp.

Still how much higher could it have been at 12 noon today?

Who made the final decision to call off the game? Principal, Trainer, or Ref???

Ludlow low on numbers don't believe they have both 7th and 8th matter of fact most of there team is now 6th and 7th graders.

I talked to their coach today and he said he has about 60 or 70% 8th graders on his team.

The temp and humidity will be different from field to field, especially when comparing grass to turf. But Holmes is grass, and with all weather reports calling for cooler temps as the day progressed, at worst, the games should have been delayed. By 1:30, it was mostly cloudy all over, by 2:30 the temps were heading down. It almost seems like someone in charge didn't want to host the games.

The Ludlow CCMS game has been rescheduled to Tuesday at 6 at Ludlow. A big matchup for the Small School Division
