I'm going with Prestonsburg! Good Luck Blackcats!!

I think everyone is underestimating Pikeville! Yes I am biased, and yes I am praying for them to win, but they are really clicking as a team right now! You can bet that the Expo will be packed tonight in maroon!

 

They have thrown aside their dissapointing season and are looking forward to the challenge tonight! Not saying they are going to win, but their WILL be an excellent game tonight at eight!

I'll take Pike Central over Prestonsburg in the final...All 8 teams have a good following so there should be some big crowds at the Expo. While doubtful it would be sweet to see a All-Pike County final four

That would be great, but it'll never happen as long as the championship is played in Pike County. It would be more likely to be an all Pike County championship........if you get my drift.

Dont even go there, the refs are from a different region(13th I think). I guess you are suggesting that things like this happen in Paintsville, I dont know.

 

No high school teams have played at the expo center so I see it as totally neutral. And I think an all Johnson County final is very possible, if not likely.

I hope JCHS can pull it off, but I think Paintsville is clearly the toughest opponent to eliminate from these. JCHS and Pike Central have the next best chance. Anyone else would be a major surprise.

This is why I think it should remain as it always has been. Rotating from school to school. I think each year they should maintain the rotation and let each school who is hosting have the option of holding at their school or at the Expo Center.

 

The Expo Center is ideal for the Regional! There isn't a gym in the 15th that is large enough OR comfortable enough to host the Regional Tourney. Look how miserable the 57th District Tourney was? The crowd was packed and the heat felt like Paintsville's gym always does. And JC has the best gym in the 57th IMO. At least everyone can now watch the Regional and do so in comfort. Besides, home court didn't help JC anyway and no team should have home court advantage in the Regional if there are alternative sites.
