What happened during the Raceland game? Disappointing score honestly. Proud of the win no doubt, but the Rams should be scoring more on a team like West. Nothing against West at all, just stating Raceland has a lot of work to do.

It's a scrimmage, who knows. Could have been working on some different combinations. Plus, some players had to get battle tested.

I'm glad we do scrimmage every year though. Gotta get in the weight room Monday, get stronger, and get ready for East Friday. Study the scouting reports, and get conditioned! Season starts now! A lot of expectations!

I would say that Raceland coach Salmons used this one for what it actually is ....a practice. Others may have wanted to impress their fans with big scores, a new coach at one and wanting to build on last seasons wins in another. Raceland, through the years has Never shown anything in the grid, using different sets - trying kids in positions other than their own along with running some plays / sets that they will never use again. That and from what I understand West has a pretty good team this season.

IMO we will get a much better idea come this Friday and even at that all may not be put in yet.

I thought the score was a lot more than that for the West Raceland game.. At least that's what I've been told.

Ram, the score could've been a lot worse. At least 2 scores by West were against our 3rd string, including the kickoff return. Freshman kicker and guys that don't normally see action (at least 5 freshmen). Brown's 2 scores were against stunts that Coach Lewis was working on.

Again, not taking anything away from West Carter but the 30 point win could've been worse. Also, Raceland did appear to look more sharp as the evening went on. The offensive and defensive lines for Raceland looked pretty good for their first night working together as a unit against another team.
