I'm going to start off "Celtic night" with one from Connie Dover. Magical voice.

The amazing Mary McLaughlin.

Maire Brennan.

I saw this group from Quebec at the Cincinnati Celtic Festival several years ago. I was captivated by the use of the hurdy-gurdy (he starts playing it at about the 2-minute mark) as well as the chair dancing/foot percussion and would up buying one of their CDs.

This song has been done by many, but few versions are as good as this. I've got a couple of Clannad CDs in the collection.

And a song from Medjugorje that I listen to about every night, Our Lady Of Medjugorje/We Come To You Dearest Mother:

Youtube doesn't do this one justice. This was their opener when I saw them at the Aronoff a few years back.

Any time you have the Chieftains backing the likes of Alison Krauss, the results are bound to be good.

Was lucky enough to see the Chieftans years ago, once with Sarah Mclachlan at Riverbend, and another time when they played onstage behind a Celtic Ballet dance performance (I forget where exactly that took place, but it very well could have been at the Music Hall or perhaps the Taft Theatre).
