This is the same thing that soccer players deal with in Europe, but especially Russia. Their mentality is sickening. However in my opinion the worst thing to do is acknowledge it. Putin is desperate for world acknowledgement. He can't take it over yet. We must be strategic about how we deal w him. We can't be bated by this garbage. We tell him that we saw it, it was lousy technology typical of Russia and move on in preparation of the inevitable. When we move on it is to finish Putin. Don't forget that country is huge and it's huge terrain destroyed Napoleon and Hitler. This will have to be extremely well planned.

Why now? Do you think the timing of Obama's decision is unrelated to Putin making him look like a fool, his plunging job approval numbers, or the approaching mid-term elections? What kind of impact do you think the otherwise imminent genocide of tens of thousands of Christians in Iraq would have on Democrats' election prospects had Obama continued to pursue the impotent, naive foreign policy initiatives that have made him a laughingstock around the world?

Russia is petty and desperate for attention. Obviously it is racist. But Obama is and should ignore this. There is no justification for it but we have to understand that a lot of people outside of this country hate us. The old guard of Russia who is Putin sits at the top of that list. They hate the fact we crumbled their disgrace of a Communist nation. They lost and will continue to lose. I am no Obama fan but I will have his back over some Red Commie from Russia any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I have an opinion that many voters who are hyper-sensitive to anti-American sentiments around the globe felt that a change away from the "jingoistic" Bush would suddenly make the US popular around the globe and especially with Europeans. There is no doubt Bush alienated parts of Europe because he was a driver for the invasion of Iraq while especially Germany and France were opposed...but mainly because of their own self-interests.

 

I would only hope it becomes clear to American voters that it is not popularity we need, it is respect. Respect for our strength and respect for our fairness. In all reality however, the second point is never going to be one of agreement from much of the rest of the world regardless of what we do. What we can count on 100% of the time is that other nations, especially those in the European mainland will do what is best for THEIR interests.
