EARLY Mr. Football Candidates

I've seen several places, and also his twitter, which keep saying 25.5 sacks.

 

However, that number's been questioned. Just because you tackle a quarterback behind the line of scrimmage does NOT make it a sack arbitrarily. Don't get me wrong: HE HAD A LOT OF SACKS. He spent plenty of time in the backfield causing problems.

 

The 4.5 forty also doesn't seem to pass the muster. Not many kids in Kentucky have that type of wheels. If he really did, he'd have far more offers than he does considering he went to some big-time camps (got some one-on-one time at Tennessee's camp because of how well he played).

 

It's also concerting that out of all the folks who have posted/read this thread, a sack monster from a state champion with apparently 4.5 speed does NOT get mentioned until page SIX?

 

Great player. Good potential. Apparently a good attitude from what I've read/searched.

 

But not Mr. Football.

 

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Thousands of players, and seniors alone, in this state.

 

There's only gonna be one winner. Better chance of getting a DI/FBS scholarship than being named Mr. Football (or even a finalist).

 

And he's already gotten the ride taken care of (commit to WKU). Good for him. Less stress as a senior.

 

Do NOT believe WKU is gonna have back-to-back Mr. Football winners, though.
