I don't know the girl at all. I just place a significantly higher value on playing for your school than playing club to get noticed.

Pretty much a moot point if she does not go to Highlands anymore. The girls will be fine as they have a strong junior and sophomore class.

I don't pretend to understand fans of girls soccer, or women for that matter. So, can someone explain to me why a thread on a high school soccer team only manages to talk about a girl who is no longer on the team and takes jabs at conservative news, but nothing about the team?

Why the jab at Conservative news? Because some have no filter. Why the talk about the player? Likely because she is one of the best high school age players in the area that would have been a huge contributor to her team had she played. Plus, it is the only interesting thing to talk about until the games begin.

Actually it just seems to be the one guy who for some reason feels slighted that a certain girl doesn't want to play soccer for Highlands this year. Seems a little odd he's so worked up about it.
